The company launches the new Vids application, completes Image 2, and introduces Al into the most popular work utilities, such as Gmail, Docs, or Meet, at a price of 9.2 euros per upgrade.
Google is set to enhance its suite of tools, such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, and Docs, which are utilized by three billion users, with artificial intelligence (AI). The tech giant announced at its annual event in Las Vegas that it will introduce Al to improve user experience, but this upgrade will cost an extra $10 a month. The majority of users access Google Workspace applications for free with limitations, while others pay monthly fees for enhanced features. Google’s Al, Gemini for Workspace, will be incorporated into the suite to meet user demand for more streamlined services. This includes an add–on for meetings and messaging that allows note-taking, summarizing, and simultaneous translation in 69 languages. Google is also focusing on video creation with Google Vids, an all-in-one video assistant that will be available to subscribers later this year. It also introduced Imagen 2, an Al model that provides contextual understanding for developers and can be used to create four-second videos from text messages. Google’s developments are in response to Open Al’s Sora, a model that creates videos from text instructions.
