As the canons command, it is the songs that end up dominating, although they fight against a rerun, in this recreation of the life of the Jamaican genius
«Bob Marley: One Love», the biopic of the famous Jamaican musician, directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and produced by Brad Pitt and Marley’s family, tries to cover both the artist’s entire life and a specific period of his career. The film focuses on a crucial year and a half, from December 1976 to April 1978, a time marked by political, criminal and health events that changed Marley’s personal and artistic life. However, the film also includes flashbacks that attempt to complete Marley’s portrait, but instead of helping, complicate the set. Despite some criticism, the film can appeal to lovers of more conventional biopics, and the music, Marley’s personality and the impact of his songs are the film’s strengths.
