Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood: Bonnie and Clyde of pop, a duo that will break your heart

An extraordinary and fleeting artistic couple: brilliant arrangements imbued with her sweet and mischievous singing and his baritone and crippled cowboy voice

The musical duo of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood is considered one of the best in popular music, comparing themselves to Bob Dylan and Joan Baez in folk or Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell in soul. Hazlewood, an American singer, songwriter and producer, was hired by Frank Sinatra to enhance his daughter’s commercial presence, and managed to pull all the talent from young Sinatra on his first album, Boots (1966). The duo then teamed up to form a pair of singers and their first album, Nancy & Lee (1968), is considered a masterpiece. The album combines brilliant orchestral elements with lyrics that delve into the dark side of the human condition, and its music is described as a mixture of western and road movie, with a cinematic air.
