The film «Oppenheimer» emerged as the big winner of the night, bagging seven awards including best supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr., editing, cinematography, score, direction, best leading actor for Cillian Murphy, and best picture. «Poor Creatures» by Yorgos Lanthimos was the second most awarded film with four accolades, including best production design, costume, makeup and hairstyling, and best actress for Emma Stone. Jonathan Glazer’s «Area of Interest» won two awards for best sound and best international film, leaving Juan Antonio Bayona’s «Society of Snow» without the anticipated recognition. «Barbie» won a single award for best song. Following her Grammy win on February 5, Billie Eilish achieved another victory at the Oscars. The award for best supporting actress marked the beginning of the night’s film awards, with the prize going to Da’Vine Joy Randolph for her role in «Those Who Stay». Other significant awards of the ceremony went to «War Is Over! Inspired by the Music of John & Yoko» for best animated short film, and «The Boy and the Heron» for best animated feature film.
